Description:
This training will bring you a day-long agenda focusing on growth of your network and the field through exploring baseline needs, strategic planning, and asset assessment. The curriculum is divided into THREE parts:
Part 1 Overature: Playback Theatre Company-"Gathering the Sparks"
A Pre-Training experience where leaders in NYC from a variety of arts disciplines will gather...to be inspired, to network, to create community and to spark new visions of how we might work together, forging a unity for enhanced growth. The Playback Theatre team will invite us to tell our stories and our reflections, which they’ll play back in theatre and music on the spot. Listening to each other in this creative way, we will be inspired to enrich ourselves and one another. We will expand our vision of what the arts in healthcare can mean for each of us within each of our settings as we set out to develop training and network pathways for our future. The Playback Theatre will open the door and create an opening space of enchantment and creativity.
Part 2 Training that will build a foundation for the continued development of our network and support the formulation or advancement of a designed strategic direction
Part 3 Training on asset mapping that offers instruction on how to determine our community’s assets to better reach un/under-reached populations in our region
At the culmination of this project, our network will have developed or advanced its strategic direction and will have completed a final community asset map that provides critical information for developing effective strategies and partnerships to reach the un/under-reached with arts and health programs and services. Participation in this project is expected to fulfill eligibility requirements for future grant programs.
Please feel free to forward this and spread the word-- We look forward to seeing you on December 9th!
